Hi! I am Steph Murray, owner and photographer at Steph Murray Photo + Films.

I love warmth and light and using my social work background to anticipate and recognize deeply emotional moments. I enjoy capturing the real and raw things that happen throughout a wedding day and discovering what makes each couple unique. But overall, I love using my quick sarcastic humor to just make people laugh. My favorite thing after photographing a couple for the first time is to hear, “Wow, that was way more fun than we expected!”

 

I grew up right down the road in Portage, Michigan and attended Michigan State University. Go Spartans! I now live in downtown Kalamazoo and have discovered all of the best spots to photograph here, which is why I am so excited to partner with Loft 310 - my favorite venue in town. I have a huge heart for this community – especially when it comes to supporting local businesses.
